Here's The Revamped Meister's Realm

I bid you a fond welcome!  Due to hardware problems, I have created a new version of Meister's Realm.  You will find most of the same things here that you did in the previous version.  I've done a slight bit of spicing things up.

The main change is that you won't find any photo galleries here.  I am in the process of moving my old photos and placing new ones at Realm Photos on the Book of Faces.  Feel free to go there anytime and tag yourself, your friends and family.  https://www.facebook.com/meisters.realm.3

Meister's Realm has been around for almost 10 years now.  I hope to keep it going strong for decades to come.  As always, please let me know if you find a faire that I don't have listed.  I love to discover new ones and add them to my site.  You can contact me via this site, at Meisters Realm on the Book of Faces or in the Forums at: www.renaissancefestival.com

My site is dedicated to getting new and small faires on their feet as well as keeping people alerted to new things and exciting changes at faires all across the U.S. of A.  A great big "Grammercy" always goes out to those of you on faire boards, those who donate money, time, effort, blood, sweat and tears to keeping these wonderful distractions from the rat race alive and kicking!  From organizers to volunteers to vendors to performers, patrons and playtrons, all of your contributions are much appreciated by the local and faire communities!   To you I say:  Hip, hip, Huzzah!  Hip, hip, huzzah!  Hip, hip, huzzah!

Just in time for the weekend, I have been able to push out my 2nd podcast.  You can find "Renfest Info And Fun" on Podbean, iHeart, Amazon, Player FM & Podchaser.  (I'm still waiting for Apple Podcasts to publish the 1st one.  It definitely looks like a 2 week delay before those go public.)

All of the performers gracious enough to let me play their music have their own FB page, website or can be found on music sites like Apple Music. If you can't locate 1 that you like, please send me a message.  ENJOY!

This week's compilation is:
"Rocky Road" (live) by EZNDIL on their self-titled cd
"The Wild Rover" on the "Bootleg Edition" cd by Fugli/Jeremy Fowler-Lindemulder
"Road To Lisdoonvarna" from the Rites Of Passage cd of Boru's Ghost
"Rattlin' Bog" by The Flowers Of Edinburgh's Live And Kicking cd
"Star Of The County Down" by EZNDIL w/ the cd of the same name
"Will Ye Go Lassie" from Tullamore's Wild & Wicked Youth album
"Irish Washerwoman/Butterfly Jig" found on Boru's Ghost aforementioned cd
"I'll Tell My Ma" by Tullamore on their One For The Road cd
"Black Velvet Band" on EZNDIL's self-titled cd
"Swallowtail Jig" from the Southwind Ceilidh cd
"The Water Is Wide" from the Minstrocity cd
"Leaving Of Liverpool" from The Flowers Of Edinburgh Attack Of The Moon Tigers (yes) album

Well met, fyne people!   I have created a podcast.   It’s called “Renfest Info And Fun”.   It is already available on Podbean, iHeart, Amazon, Podchaser & Player FM.   It will soon be available on Apple podcasts.

The 1st   few episodes will contain mostly music but soon, I plan to have episodes that contain interviews & discussions with the people who make Renaissance Festivals happen:   organizers, vendors, performers & patrons.   I hope that you enjoy these journeys & are able to escape from the Modern World for a while.

There are so many amazingly talented performers who have graciously agreed to allow me to play their music on these podcasts.   My extreme gratitude goes to all of them!   Grammercy & hip, hip, huzzah to all of them!

Check back every couple of weeks for more Renfest Info And Fun.  Huzzah!

Here are the artists which can be heard on the 1st podcast:

Tullamore’s “Gathering Of Atholl” from their One For The Road album

Fugli’s “The Sword From The Stone” from his Bootleg Edition album

Boru’s Ghost “Butterfly Jig” from their Rites Of Passage album

Southwind Ceilidh’s “Fine Felt Hat” from the Both Ends Of The Day album

Ezndil’s “Blarney Gypsy” from their self-titled album

Hooligan’s “The Cup O’ Tea” from their LIVE album

Wolgemut’s “Scottish Brawl” from their Pipes, Phyfe & Drums (Live at Pennsic X)

The Crossjacks’ “Irish Medley No. 2” from their self-titled album

The Flowers of Edinburgh’s “Scotch Cap Spotted Pony” from their Live And Kicking album

Boru’s Ghost “Fulfillment/The Dream” also from Rites Of Passage

There looks to be 3 Good Days (Fri - Sun) this weekend.  You can visit Gulley Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas to experience the The Narnia Faire.   https://thenarniafaire.com  Here's the short interview I did with the 4 Royals there last year.

I hope to see you there!

As I mentioned on my last Meister's Realm LIVE video, THIS SATURDAY, SEPT. 14 will see the return of the Hobbit Day Party at Tulsa's Central Library.  The address is 400 Civic Center 74103.  There is covered parking available.

It runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  This year, they will be showing "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" w/ a potato bar and trivia afterwards!  They will also have children's crafts and activities as well as an activity in Maker Space.  This is a fun, air conditioned event!

Garbing up is encouraged.  I hope to see you there!

Good day!  Here's a video I should have made years ago.  It isn't just one Ezndil song, it's several songs with all of the funny comments & reactions in between.  Seeing this couple is always a memorable experience.  They sure know how to fill the time between songs & ensure people leave with a smile on their faces.  Huzzah!

Wondering what kind of tree made the longbow that English archers used to decimate armies of French knights at places like Agincourt during the 100 Years War?  They are still around today, maybe even in your own neighborhood...
